作为学徒工在德国梅茵茨学习了麦芽生产和啤酒酿造，后在慕尼黑工业大学啤酒饮料酿造专业学习，毕业后留校任助理教授，并在2002年获得博士学位。2009年至今，任杜门斯啤酒学院的管理负责人，杜门斯董事会成员之一，也是美国酿造化学家协会（ASBC）欧洲区的副主席。
As an apprentice, he studied malt production and beer brewing in Meinz, Germany. After that,he studied beer & beverage brewing in Munich Industrial University. After graduation, he stayed at school and worked as assistant professor, and gained doctor’s degree in 2002.From 2009 until now, he is in charge of management of Doemens Beer Academy, and board member of Doemens, and he is also Europe vice president of American Society of Brewing & Chemistry (ASBC).
